In countries like Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi<\/strong>, the population is among the youngest in the world. Despite significant socio-economic and political differences, words like “future” and “hope” struggle to find fertile ground to take root. Over 50% of these populations are between 18 and 35 years old. Depending on local conditions, young people constantly face latent conflicts and daily social challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Against this backdrop, a powerful desire rises from the youth of Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi. They want to start a journey of change for their communities and become protagonists of peace and dialogue. They shared this desire with Gen Verde, which aims to respond concretely by offering opportunities for collaboration and civic responsibility through art while helping young people develop and share their talents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January 2027<\/strong>, for the first time in Gen Verde’s history, the 18 artists from 12 different nations will set foot on African soil. They will bring artistic workshops, concerts, and community initiatives centered on intercultural dialogue, reconciliation, and peace. They will launch a single challenge to the over 8,000 people awaiting them: to be peacebuilders, each with their own talent.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making this possible requires the support of people everywhere. That is why Gen Verde<\/strong> is launching a \u20ac30,000 <\/strong>crowdfunding campaign. This fund will help cover international travel expenses and support logistics and transportation during their two-month stay across 7 locations. The campaign will also help activate educational projects designed to foster dialogue in communities marked by division. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being builders of peace and dialogue is not a simple task; it cannot be done in a day! Therefore, welcoming the request of the youth from Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi, Gen Verde wants to undertake this journey with and for them. However, only together can we achieve this dream of a future for African communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
