There is an unbreakable bond between music and the Earth. When we step onto the stage and pick up our instruments, we aren’t just playing notes—we are celebrating the breath of life that connects and sustains all of humanity. The Earth is our shared home, a masterpiece of beauty and harmony. We are both a part of it and its guardians. To contemplate our planet is to recognize an incredible gift, but it also means facing the vulnerability and pain of an ecosystem deeply scarred by indifference.
As artists, we firmly believe that art cannot stand on the sidelines or detach itself from today’s global challenges. Singing about hope means actively caring for the places and people that inhabit this planet, turning the harmony of our music into concrete, everyday choices.
A concrete commitment: traveling light to leave a legacy of peace
Bringing our music to audiences worldwide is truly a privilege, but it also comes with an ethical responsibility toward the environment. For us, eco-friendly touring isn’t just a theoretical concept; it’s a mindset that guides every logistical and organizational decision we make. Behind the scenes of every show, we constantly work to reduce the environmental footprint of our travels and stage setups.
Whether it’s managing our energy consumption during concerts, cutting out single-use plastics on the road, or choosing greener transportation options whenever possible, every small step is an act of love for our planet. We know that reaching perfect sustainability is a continuous journey, but our daily commitment to traveling light and reducing emissions and waste is our promise to ensure that the beauty on stage never leaves scars on the Earth.
The cry of the youth and the story behind “Turn Around”
Our desire to act also comes from listening closely to the younger generations. Seeing young people all over the world take to the streets with such determination—raising their voices to fight for environmental protection—has profoundly moved us. Their passion reminded us that we cannot stand by, and that listening to their concerns is our duty to the future.
The song Turn Around was born out of this deep emotion. With this track, we wanted to capture the breathtaking beauty of the Earth, while also facing the reality of the climate crisis head-on. Recorded alongside a virtual choir of young people from various countries, the song is a global embrace and an urgent call to action. By joining our voices with theirs, we wanted to express a shared commitment to healing our planet. It is our way of saying that we firmly believe there is still time to change course and make a difference.
A song for the Amazon: the voice of “Uirapuru”
Our music also speaks for those who are often left voiceless, and for the regions that serve as the vital lungs of our planet, like the Amazon rainforest. We look back with immense joy and emotion to when we performed a musical appeal in St. Peter’s Square to defend the Amazon and its often-overlooked indigenous communities. Hearing Pope Francis announce the Special Pan-Amazon Synod in that very same square the following day was an unforgettable moment of grace. It was a powerful confirmation that caring for creation is an urgent spiritual and human priority that cannot wait.
Born in 2015 from this deep love for the Earth and its resources, and inspired by the song of the legendary Amazonian bird, Uirapuru is both a cry for help and a fervent prayer. Performing it in St. Peter’s Square in 2017 was a moment we will never forget. Alongside the populations who guard that land and together with the Pope, we continue to use the full power of our art to declare that the Amazon cannot wait.
United to care for our common home
Sustainable art is an open invitation to anyone who listens to our music or comes to our concerts. Every note, every gesture of respect for nature, and every conscious choice we make on tour is a building block for a more united world. We want harmony to exist not just in our musical compositions, but to ring out loud and clear in the way we care for one another and show deep respect for the planet we all call home.
