Before the lights come on.
Before the music fills the auditorium.
Before the audience becomes part of a single collective vibration.
There is an invisible place where every Gen Verde show is born. A space made up of listening, shared decisions, personal stories that intertwine to become a single voice. It is there that an international tour takes shape, capable of uniting 13 different nations, not only on stage, but in the very heart of artistic creation.
When art begins long before the stage
Behind the scenes at Gen Verde, it is not a technical space but a human and creative process. Each show is born from the encounter between diverse identities: languages, cultures, artistic sensibilities and life paths that are far apart. The preparation does not begin with a list of songs, but with a silent question: what do we want to tell the world together today?
The artists in the group bring to the creative process what they are: personal experiences, wounds, hopes, intuitions. Music becomes the point of convergence of these differences, a common language that does not erase their origins, but rather enhances them.
Building a shared language
In Gen Verde’s artistic work, nothing is left to chance, but nothing is imposed. The songs, stage movements, vocal and instrumental parts are the result of constant dialogue. It is a slow process, made up of attempts, mutual listening and trust.
Each member learns to take a step back so that the whole can emerge.
This is where the show takes shape: when individual talent ceases to seek the limelight and becomes part of a larger narrative.

Emotions transformed on stage
Behind every song on the tour there is a real story. Stories gathered in workshops with young people, encounters in fragile contexts, first-hand experiences. Such as Tierra de paz – Our Common Ground, L’ultimo pensiero, Break the Chain, Io credo nel noi, Solo la luce – Only light, among others.
These stories are not simply told: they are transformed into sound, rhythm and gesture.
Behind the scenes, the music is “heard” even before it is performed. Work is done on the emotions that a piece should evoke, on the message that should cross cultural boundaries without the need for explanation. It is an art that seeks the essential, that speaks to the heart rather than the mind.
Harmony born of diversity
Preparing a show that spans different countries and cultures means learning to embrace complexity. Differences are not an obstacle, but rather the raw material of creation.
Behind the scenes, Gen Verde’s harmony is born precisely from this: from accepting that each voice has a different colour and recognising that this variety makes the message more powerful and authentic.
When the show becomes an encounter
The result of this process is not just a concert, but a shared experience. Everything that has been experienced before comes together on stage: dialogue, listening, creative effort, the joy of building something together.
And the audience senses it. Some people who have attended their concerts say: «They are very good as artists, but above all they convey a lot. I am very grateful to those who invited me to the concert and for having been able to meet them. I find them fascinating and I think they give off positive energy!» – «This concert was fantastic. I would never have imagined anything like it. It was very clear that what they sing is what they live in their daily lives. I will never forget this evening as long as I live» were the words of one of the students who met Gen Verde for the first time at a concert in New York.
Because what really unites 13 nations is not technical perfection, but the truth of a human journey that is transformed into music.
Behind the scenes of a Gen Verde international tour, the show is never just a performance: it is an act of relationship, an artistic gesture that is born from encounter and invites the listener to be part of it.
